ACADEMIC PLAN FOR GRADES IX AND X

Learners proceeding to Grades IX and X follow a two-year programme leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) under the aegis of Cambridge International Examinations. The IGCSE is a two-year course of equivalent standard to the GCSE in the UK. There is strong emphasis not merely on information but on the learning of academic and practical skills.

The IGCSE examination is taken at the end of Grade X.

SUBJECT OPTIONS FOR IGCSE

Compulsory Subjects:

1. First Language English (FLE)

2. Mathematics

3. Hindi as a Second Language                     OR Foreign Langugage Option: French, German and Spanish.

 

The following subjects are offered.

1. Physics or Accounting

2. Biology

3. Chemistry

4. Accounting

5. Economics

6. Geography

7. History

8. Business Studies

9. Computer Studies (CS)

10. Literature in English

11. Art & Design

 

NOTE: A minimum of 5 students should opt for a subject to make it possible for the school to offer the subject.
